Jerry R. Donatelli - Founding Partner

Since founding Cornerstone Capital Partners in 1990, Mr. Donatelli has directed the investment in eleven (11) portfolio companies with a total enterprise value of almost $400 million. Prior to founding Cornerstone Capital Partners, he was the President and founder of a privately held real estate investment and management company. In this capacity, he directed the acquisition and sale of a real estate portfolio in excess of $250 million, along with the management of over 50 properties. Previously, Mr. Donatelli was Executive Vice President of a corporate mergers and acquisition firm, in which he participated in acquisitions and divestitures of Fortune 100 divisions and subsidiaries. Mr. Donatelli was also formerly with Exxon International Company where he held various engineering and financial positions.

He is currently a director of Stanek Vinyl Windows, Corp., Window Technologies, LLC, ATIS Group, RAD Technologies, and Craftsmen Industries.

Mr. Donatelli holds an MBA from Adelphi University, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the City College of the City University of New York and served in the U. S. Naval Air Reserve as an instructor and member of a flight team, in which he received a Letter of Commendation.


 
 

Norman Silberdick - Partner

Since 1996, Mr. Silberdick has participated in eight (8) of Cornerstone Capital Partners' acquisitions representing $200 million of total enterprise value. Prior to joining Cornerstone on a full-time basis in 2000, Mr. Silberdick was a partner with Aspen International Group, a mergers and acquisitions boutique, where he acted as an intermediary in ten (10) transactions representing over $300 million of transaction value. Previously, Mr. Silberdick was Chairman, President and CEO of Corcap, Inc. and CompuDyne Corporation, two public firms engaged in defense electronics, telecommunications products and home improvement services where he sold several business units, with a transaction value of $50 million. Mr. Silberdick's prior activities also include Assistant Professor of Management in the University of New Hampshire System, and executive positions at the Sun Chemical Corporation and the Singer Company.

Mr. Silberdick has over 35 years experience in operations, turnarounds and merger and acquisitions. He has completed numerous transactions in various industries including metal fabrication, industrial distribution, paper, cardboard and box manufacturing, textiles, printing, chemicals, wood working, trucking and professional services.

Mr. Silberdick is an observer to the Boards of Stanek Vinyl Windows Corp., Craftsmen Industries and RAD Technologies; and is a Director of Atis Group, Plastival and Window Technologies, LLC.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the City University of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from NYU.


 
 

Stephen S. Altman - Partner

Prior to joining Cornerstone Capital Partners, Mr. Altman was a Principal of the private equity firm Long Point Capital from 1998-2005, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring and managing private equity investment in middle-market companies with a focus on manufacturing and industrial services.  Prior to joining Long Point, Mr. Altman worked for Masco Corporation and affiliated companies for ten years in a variety of operational and financial roles, primarily focused on turning around troubled operating divisions.  His last position was President of Sherle Wagner International.  Prior to Masco, Mr. Altman worked as a Certified Public Accountant focused on middle market companies in the Boston office of Arthur Andersen LLP.

 Mr. Altman served on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Plywood Corporation, Arch Aluminum and Glass, CHI Overhead Doors, and National Print Group.   He is currently a director of RAD Technologies and Craftsmen Industries.

Mr. Altman holds a CPA and an MBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.


 

Other Professionals

Tom R. Yow - Operating Partner

Mr. Yow has held a variety of positions over a 35 year career in manufacturing including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Manufacturing.  His company associations include Henredon, Hammary (a LA-Z-BOY company), Broyhill Furniture Industries, Creations Manufacturing, and Stanton Furniture.  Mr. Yow has extensive experience with the implementation of lean manufacturing and in the development of sourcing programs from Asia.  One of his primary responsibilities with Cornerstone is to assist Cornerstone’s portfolio companies with developing both a lean manufacturing and an Asian sourcing strategies. 

Mr. Yow is a director of Stanton International (Portland, Oregon), Wood Technologies (Fresno, California), and Thomas Parker Collection (High Point, North Carolina).    He is a graduate of Mars Hill College in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.


 
 

Brian Van Schoonhoven - Administrative Partner

An original member of the Cornerstone Capital Partners team, Mr. Van Schoonhoven is responsible for corporate development, marketing, operations consultation, and administration of selected Cornerstone assets.

Prior to joining Cornerstone Capital Partners, Mr. Van Schoonhoven was  Director of Property Management and Sales of Diversified Realty Holdings, Ltd., a privately held real estate investment company located in New York City. At Diversified he was responsible for all aspects of sales, operations, maintenance, and fiscal management for a $250 million real estate portfolio.  Mr. Van Schoonhoven began his professional development as a Senior Account Executive for International Service Systems, responsible for sales and customer service for a $35 million portfolio of business. International Service Systems is a multi-billion dollar building maintenance company.

Mr. Van Schoonhoven holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Ithaca College.
